What Attendees See First
Your event details are the first thing a potential attendee reads before deciding whether to register. Getting these right before publishing prevents the questions and confusion that come from incomplete or inaccurate information.
Core Event Details
Event Title and Description
Write a title that tells someone immediately what the event is. "Fintech Africa Summit — Lagos Q3" is more useful than "Innovate Together Vol. 3." Your description should answer what the event is, who it is for, what attendees will experience, and anything they need to know beforehand.
Format and Category
Choose the format that matches how people will attend — In-Person, Online, Hybrid, Audio, or Flash — and the category that fits the event, like Business & Networking or Arts & Culture. Category helps the right people find you through search and recommendations.
Date, Time, and Sessions
Set the date, start and end time, and time zone — this matters most for online and hybrid events with attendees in different locations. If your event has more than one part, add each as its own session with its own name, date, time, and description, rather than cramming everything into one listing.
Location or Online Access
For in-person events, include the venue name and enough address detail for someone unfamiliar with the area. For online events, provide access instructions. For hybrid, both. Incomplete access details generate more avoidable attendee questions than anything else on the page.
Max Attendees and Tags
Set a cap if the event or venue has a real capacity limit. Add up to 10 event tags to help the right people discover you through search.
Cover Image and Media
Your cover image is seen before your description is read. Choose one that is clear and representative of the actual experience — see Adding Event Media for detail on limits per format.
Tickets and Support and Gifting
Set ticket types, prices, and quantities before publishing — see Creating Ticket Types. If you want attendees to be able to support you directly, separate from ticket price, turn on Support and Gifting and choose how the button reads.
Editing After Publishing
Go to your Profile, open the Events tab, and tap into Manage Events. Find your event in the list — filter by All, Live, Soon, or Past — and tap Manage (or use the ⋯ menu for Edit Event, Edit Ticket, Attendees, Analytics, Cancel Event, or Delete). For changes that affect registered attendees — time, venue, access link — update the page and let them know directly.
