Streaming Best Practices

Best practices for a smooth taron livestream — internet setup, audio, lighting, and what to check before going live.

A good livestream experience comes down to preparation. Most stream failures are avoidable with a few checks before going live.

Internet connection

Use Wi-Fi where possible. If using mobile data, 4G or 5G is required — 3G is not reliable for streaming. Test your connection speed before the event: you need at least 5 Mbps upload for a stable stream.

Audio quality

Built-in phone audio works for casual streams, but external noise will be a problem in busy venues. Use a lapel mic (wired or Bluetooth) for cleaner audio. Audio quality matters more to viewers than video quality — a clear voice with average video is better than great video with muffled audio.

Lighting

Face a light source, not away from it. Natural light from a window is ideal. A ring light is the simplest upgrade for indoor streams. Avoid strong back-lighting — it silhouettes your face and makes the image hard to read.

Test before going live

Do a 30-second test stream to a private event before your main event. Check the quality from an attendee device. Confirm the audio is clear and the video is stable. Fix issues before the audience arrives.
