Preventing Fraud

How taron protects you from fraud — fake events, payment scams, impersonation, and what to do if you encounter them.

taron help Share

taron takes fraud prevention seriously. Here is how the platform protects you and what to watch for.

Fake events

taron reviews events flagged by the community. If an event appears to be fraudulent — tickets sold for an event that does not exist, or a host collecting payment with no intent to deliver — report it immediately. taron investigates and can issue refunds where fraud is confirmed.

Impersonation

If someone is using a name, profile photo, or branding that impersonates a real person or organisation, report the profile for impersonation. taron removes verified impersonation accounts.

Payment scams outside taron

Never pay for a taron event outside the platform — via bank transfer, cash app, or any external method. Legitimate taron events are always paid through the taron checkout. If a host asks you to pay outside taron, treat it as a red flag and report the event.

If you have been defrauded

Contact taron support at hello@taronapp.com immediately with the event name, host details, your payment confirmation, and a description of what happened. taron investigates all fraud reports and works with payment providers on eligible chargebacks.
