Offering multiple ticket tiers — including free options and premium access — serves different parts of your audience and maximises the number of people who register.
Early Bird tickets
Set a limited quantity at a lower price with an expiry date or quantity cap. Early Bird rewards your most engaged followers and front-loads registration momentum. Once the Early Bird tier sells out, the standard price takes over automatically.
VIP tickets
Price VIP tickets at a meaningful premium and be specific about the perks — front-row seating, meet-and-greet access, priority check-in, exclusive area, gift bag. Vague VIP tiers underperform; specific ones convert well.
Free tickets
Free tickets are useful for community-building events, launches, media nights, or events where broader attendance is the goal rather than revenue. You can mix free and paid tiers on the same event.
Naming and describing tiers clearly
Give each tier a name that signals its value: "Founders Pass", "Community Member", "General Admission". Add a short description of what each includes so attendees can make an informed choice quickly.
