taronPass is designed to keep working even when your internet connection drops. This is essential for outdoor venues, basements, or anywhere with unreliable coverage.
How offline mode works
When taronPass loses internet connectivity, it switches to offline mode automatically. The attendee list is cached locally on the device. Scans are processed against the local cache and stored on the device.
What works offline
- QR ticket scanning — valid/invalid checks against the cached attendee list
- Manual check-in by name (against the cached list)
- Recording check-in status locally
What does not work offline
Real-time sync between devices does not work offline. If two entry points are both offline, the same ticket could be scanned on each without cross-device duplicate detection. Reconnect devices as soon as possible to sync.
Syncing after connectivity returns
When internet returns, taronPass syncs automatically. All offline check-ins upload, and the attendee list updates across all devices. No manual action is required.
